Beau Greaves created another slice of history in Leicester on Wednesday, becoming the first woman to hit a nine-darter on the PDC ProTour circuit.
Greaves produced perfection during her round two clash against Austrian stalwart Mensur Suljovic, following up back-to-back 180s with the magical 141 finish in leg three of the contest.
The 22-year-old joins her great rival Fallon Sherrock in landing a nine-darter in PDC competition, after Sherrock produced a perfect leg during a Winmau Challenge Tour event in March 2023.
“I couldn’t believe I’d hit it,” admitted Greaves, who went on to defeat Suljovic in a last-leg decider, before succumbing to Scotland’s David Sharp in round three.
“I just about hit the treble 19 and then I was quite confident that the double 12 was going in.
“I couldn’t stop smiling because I couldn’t wait to tell my dad, even though I knew he’d be watching it!
“I’ve narrowly missed hitting one a few times so it was nice to finally hit one.
“It’s nice to be the first woman to hit one on the PDC ProTour, I’m glad it was on the stream as well.
“It was hard to get back into the game after I’d hit it, I was shaking afterwards. It was nerve-wracking but I managed to get the win in the end!”
Greaves has made an impressive start to her career as a PDC Tour Card Holder, reaching the last 16 in two of the year’s first six Players Championship events.
The Doncaster darter also extended her unprecedented winning run on the PDC Women’s Series to 113 matches earlier this month, before registering averages of 117.88 and 111.33 on the Winmau Development Tour last weekend.
“I’m enjoying my start to life on the PDC ProTour,” continued Greaves, who is currently inside the top 30 on the 2026 Players Championship rankings.
“I’ve been struggling in patches with a bit of tension in my throw, but I am playing well and enjoying it.
“You’re playing the best players in the world so if you lose a game, it’s just a case of your opponent playing better than you on the day.”
