Hong Kong duo Man Lok Leung and Lok Yin Lee claimed a title apiece on the 2026 PDC Asian Tour last weekend, as Mongolia’s Ganzorig Lkhagvasuren made history in Japan.
The year’s second weekend of Asian Tour action took place in Shizuoka on April 4-5, with Hong Kong’s Lee featuring in three consecutive finals to continue his bright start to 2026.
The 25-year-old kicked off the weekend with a whitewash win over Pin Ching Lan, before averaging almost 98 in a 4-1 thumping of his World Cup partner Leung.
Lee continued his charge with wins over Japanese trio Osamu Niki, Shoichi Yanase and Ryuta Arihara – denying Yanase in a last-leg decider.
Hong Kong’s World Cup star then defeated Yan Bin Chen 5-2 in the semi-finals, before sealing the Event Five crown with a 5-3 victory over four-time World Championship qualifier Paolo Nebrida.
Lee came close to doubling his title tally in Event Six, succumbing in a deciding-leg clash against Japan’s Tomoya Goto, who fought back from 3-1 down to prevail.
Goto produced a three-leg burst of 11, 13 and 14 darts to complete the turnaround, having also dispatched former PDC Asian Champions Christian Perez and Haruki Muramatsu in the latter stages.
This was preceded by a 4-3 victory over Bin Chen, while he also prevailed in seven-leg affairs against Nebrida and Eikichi Nakanishi to kick off his campaign, recovering from 3-1 down against the latter.
Sunday’s double-header began with Leung and Lee going head-to-head in the Event Seven showpiece, as Leung came out on top in a decider to secure his second Asian Tour title of 2026.
The 27-year-old averaged 103 in his semi-final success against Odkhuu Khundaganai, producing legs of 15, 14, 11, 15 and 11 darts in the process.
Leung – a World Series of Darts quarter-finalist in January – also recorded 4-3 wins over Takayuki Masatsu and Jargalsaikhan Ulziibuyan en route to glory.
Event Eight saw history created in Shizuoka, as Lkhagvasuren became the first Mongolian player to clinch a PDC Asian Tour title.
Lkhagvasuren opened his challenge with back-to-back whitewash wins over Hajime Watanabe and Tomoya Tsumura, before edging past his compatriot Bold Chuluunbaatar.
Following victories over Nebrida, Bin Chen and Perez, Lkhagvasuren capped off a landmark triumph with a five-leg demolition of Ryuta Arihara in the Event Eight final.
Arihara has moved up to third on the 2026 Asian Tour rankings, ahead of Lee and his fellow countryman Motomu Sakai, who occupy fourth and fifth positions respectively.
Leung cemented top spot courtesy of his Event Seven success, while Muramatsu has slipped to second, despite averaging 106.97 in a losing cause on Sunday – the highest losing average in Asian Tour history.
The top five players on the PDC Asian Tour rankings following the conclusion of the 2026 season will qualify for the 2026/27 World Darts Championship at London’s Alexandra Palace.
The Asian Tour will continue with Events 9-12 from May 2-3 in Kuala Lumpur, with coverage set to be broadcast on PDCTV from the last 16 onwards.
