After Luke Littler’s 84 average in Night Ten of the BetMGM Premier League brought his sky-high stats back down to earth, the number one form player in terms of leg-winning efficiency is now Gerwyn Price, who currently leads the PDC in winning 55% of his legs in 15 darts or fewer.
Price’s OChE rating is now 66, nearly three points ahead of Littler’s, and indicative of winning nearly two out of every three legs against Pro Tour opposition.
The Welshman’s dominant display on Night Nine placed him within two points of surpassing Littler in the Premier League table, and thanks to his outstanding record on the doubles in Manchester (18 hits in 25 attempts), Price is the second-best finisher in darts over his last 200 legs.
A decisive clash with Littler – still the number one player in averages – comes tonight in Rotterdam, yet if Littler’s recent nadir in form continues, Price could surpass the World Champion on the Premier League table for the first time since March.
The Dutch players making the biggest impact on the PDC this year are not the ones at the top of the PDC Werner Rankings Ladder – rather, they were relatively unknown five years ago.
Niels Zonneveld has snatched the 180-scoring title from Luke Littler this month, while simultaneously surpassing Raymond van Barneveld on the world rankings, a huge milestone for any Dutch darts player.
Zonneveld’s 19 maximums in 37 legs during Players Championship 10 – a rate of treble 20 hitting on par with the best yet seen from Littler – gives him a total of 96 in his last 200 legs, a whopping 11 180s ahead of Littler and 15 ahead of any other Dutch player.
Meanwhile, Wessel Nijman has continued his dream 2026 campaign on the floor in winning his third Players Championship of the year, putting him just a few thousand pounds in ranking money outside of the top 16.
In the Form Guide, Nijman is a top ten player, and has been for most of 2026. He currently ranks third in OChE and third in doubles, making him a more potent threat on current form than world Dutch number one and two Gian van Veen and Michael van Gerwen respectively.
Double trouble continues for many of darts’ biggest names. Luke Humphries, who currently finds himself outside of a Play-Off place, must try to turn around his rank of 76th for best doubles percentage before a showdown with Van Veen on very favourable home ground for the Dutchman.
Stephen Bunting and Josh Rock rank 103rd and 101st for doubles respectively, occupying the other two elimination positions alongside Humphries and Van Veen.
Interestingly, a player struggling the most on the finishing stats is Nathan Aspinall, who is simultaneously one of the most powerful scorers.
On the basis of his last 200 legs, Aspinall is almost 1.5x more likely to throw a 180 in a leg (45%) than he is to hit a double given a single attempt (31%).
This hasn’t stopped him from winning his fourth European Tour title, but against elite opposition he would likely be made to regret so many darts at doubles going to waste.
