A place in the 2026/27 Paddy Power World Darts Championship will be on offer for players from Australia and New Zealand from the new Trans-Tasman Championship.
The event will be the culmination of a newly-introduced weekend from August 28-30 which will be held at Pine Rivers Darts Club in Brisbane.
The 2026 Trans-Tasman Championship will see the top 16 players from each of the Australian Darts Association and DartPlayers New Zealand rankings invited to compete.
The winner will earn the fourth Oceanic place in the 2026/27 Paddy Power World Darts Championship, where they will be joined by the ANZ Premier League champion and the respective ADA and DPNZ Order of Merit winners (or highest-placed non-qualified player/s).
The weekend will begin on Friday August 28 with the Trans-Tasman Open Singles, offering AU$7,500 in prize money.
The Trans-Tasman Open Doubles will then be held on Saturday August 29, featuring an AU$5,000 prize fund, ahead of an Australia v New Zealand Test Match which will feature the top eight ranked players from Australia and New Zealand on the respective ADA & DPNZ rankings.
Sunday August 30 will then see the headline event as 32 players compete for an Alexandra Palace spot.
The 16 players from the ADA rankings will be invited as at August 9 after the Sydney weekend, with the DPNZ competitors invited on July 5 following the events in Christchurch.
Entries for the Trans-Tasman Open Singles and Trans-Tasman Open Doubles will be available via the ADA.
