Sebastian Bialecki clinched his third Winmau Development Title of 2026 on Sunday, as the Pole fought from behind to beat Dominik Gruellich in a brilliant last-leg decider in Event Ten.
Bialecki – who had won his second Development Tour crown of the year just 24 hours before – avenged his round five defeat to World Youth Championship runner-up Beau Greaves in Event Nine, pocketing the £3,000 top prize at Arena MK to cap off a terrific weekend.
The 22-year-old sealed the deal with a 5-4 victory over Tour Card Holder Dominik Gruellich, who was looking to claim his first Development Tour title since October.
However, Bialecki, the current leader of the Development Tour rankings, had his eyes set on extending his lead at the top with an impressive display of darts.
Following a comfortable opening round victory over Mani Hewitson, the Pole would secure three consecutive whitewash victories over Jaiden Ward, Craig Galliano and Adam Gawlas respectively to advance to the Last 32.
The youngster from Łódź continued his charge with an brilliant 4-2 victory over Jenson Walker, before dispatching of young German Finn Behrens, completing his fourth whitewash of the day, sealing the victory with a superb 105.47 average
Bialecki edged out Lewis Cook 5-3 in the semi-finals, which was preceded by a 5-2 victory over Wales’s Kai Clark in the last eight.
This set up a winner-takes-all showdown against Gruellich, which saw Bialecki conjure up back-to-back legs to close out the victory in Milton Keynes.
Gruellich claimed the scalps of Thomas Banks, Mason Teese and Charlie Manby en route to the final, before running out an excellent 5-1 winner against former Tour Card Holder Dylan Slevin in the semi-finals.
Bialecki’s brace of titles have put the Pole into top spot on the Winmau Development Tour rankings, with Jack Drayton occupying second spot following a run to the final this weekend.
Leon Weber, who claimed Event Seven and Event Nine victories this weekend, climbs into sixth spot, as Jurjen van der Velde, James Beeton and Gruellich occupy the remaining three spots respectively.
The top two players from the 2026 Development Tour rankings will each win a PDC Tour Card for 2027-28, while the top three players will earn a place in the 2026/27 Paddy Power World Darts Championship.
The 2026 Winmau Development Tour season continues in June, as Arena MK in Milton Keynes plays host to Events 11-15 from June 5-7.
