Darius Labanauskas and Mio Varila claimed a title apiece as the 2026 PDC Nordic & Baltic ProTour season continued in Finland last weekend.
The Hotel Talukka in Vääksy played host to Events 5-6 on April 25-26, with World Championship quarter-finalist Labanauskas adding to his title tally on Saturday.
The Lithuanian denied Denmark’s Andreas Toft Jorgensen in a last-leg decider to clinch the Event Five crown – his first of the 2026 campaign.
Following wins over Olaf Siigur and Petri Rasmus, Labanauskas raced through to the quarter-finals with a whitewash win against Latvia’s World Cup star Valters Melderis.
The 49-year-old backed this up with successive 6-3 victories over Finland’s Jani Haavisto and Swedish star Viktor Tingstrom, before defying a late fightback from Jorgensen in Saturday’s showpiece.
Finland’s Varila then celebrated a landmark first Nordic & Baltic title on Sunday, rattling off four consecutive legs to topple Norway’s Cor Dekker 6-3 in the Event Six final.
Varila also whitewashed Niels Heinsoe and Haavisto en route to glory, while recording 6-3 wins over Rasmus and Melderis to set up a semi-final showdown against Johan Engstrom.
The home favourite defeated Engstrom 6-4 in the last four, although the Swede also enjoyed a successful weekend in Vääksy, qualifying for a brace of European Tour events.
The weekend’s action saw qualifiers for European Tour Events 7-9 take place in Finland, with Engstrom dispatching Melderis 6-2 to qualify for next month’s International Darts Open.
Finland’s former World Cup star Teemu Harju came through the ET8 Qualifier, overcoming a 5-3 deficit to defeat Jonas Graversen and book his place at the Baltic Sea Darts Open in Kiel.
Engstrom then completed a European Tour qualification double on Sunday, running out a 6-3 winner against Jonas Masalin to secure qualification for June’s Slovak Darts Open.
