Beau Greaves maintained her unparalleled dominance of the PDC Women’s Series circuit with another brace of titles in Leicester on Saturday.
Greaves had won 134 of her last 135 Women’s Series matches prior to arriving at the Mattioli Arena, and she extended that astonishing record with victory in Events Nine and Ten.
The Doncaster sensation has enjoyed a stunning start to 2026, registering two nine-dart finishes and famously winning her maiden PDC ranking title at Players Championship Eleven last month.
Greaves built on that momentum on another bumper day of action in the East Midlands, storming through a 91-player field in each event to continue her reign of dominance.
The 22-year-old began the day in sparkling style, recording whitewash wins over Vicky Pruim and Carly Chenery, before overcoming her great rival Fallon Sherrock in a blockbuster last 32 tussle.
Following emphatic victories over Felicia Blay and Lorraine Winstanley, Greaves then dispatched veteran duo Lisa Ashton and Trina Gulliver to secure her first title of the afternoon.
Greaves produced a flawless doubling display in her 5-1 demolition of Ashton, while she swept aside ten-time Lakeside champion Gulliver by the same scoreline in the Event Nine showpiece.
The World Youth Championship runner-up showed no sign of relenting in Event Ten, averaging almost 106 in her opening round thrashing of Janine Gough.
Further whitewash victories over Lindsey Ashton and Denise Cassidy soon followed, although her toughest assignment came in her quarter-final showdown against Deta Hedman.
Hedman fought back brilliantly from 4-2 down to force a decider, only to wire a match dart at double six for a 126 checkout, enabling Greaves to return and triumph in a dramatic nine-leg affair.
However, the two-time Women’s World Matchplay champion required no further reprieves, recording successive 5-1 wins against Ashton and Karolina Ratajska to celebrate Event Ten glory.
“It’s amazing for me to play players that I’ve always watched growing up,” said Greaves, reflecting on her whirlwind start to life on the ProTour circuit.
“Winning a ProTour so quickly was a shock to me. I know I can play darts, but the quality on tour is unreal, so I thought I’d need more time to settle in.
“I want to play on the European Tour and I would love to qualify for some majors, but I know I’ve got a lot of work to do that.
“I’ve put myself in a position where if I keep doing well, I might get into these events earlier than expected, but I am really just enjoying it.
“I love darts, I love playing darts, so it’s all a bonus for me.”
Despite Greaves’ exploits, Saturday’s double-header also represented a landmark day for Polish star Ratajska – the wife of Poland’s number one Krzysztof Ratajski.
Having progressed to the Event Nine semi-finals earlier in the day, Ratajska claimed the scalps of Rhian O’Sullivan, Vicky Pruim and Gemma Hayter to progress to the Event Ten decider.
Elsewhere, trailblazer Gulliver impressed in Event Nine, rallying from 4-2 down against Ratajska in the last four to seal a place in her first Women’s Series final since March 2022.
Gulliver is now just £50 adrift of the provisional qualification places for the 2026 Betfred Women’s World Matchplay, which will take place on July 26 in Blackpool.
The top eight players on the Women’s Series rankings following Event 16 will feature at the Winter Gardens, with Greaves, Ashton and Fallon Sherrock already assured of their qualification.
The top three players from the final PDC Women’s Series rankings will also qualify to compete in the 2026/27 Paddy Power World Darts Championship, with the top-ranked player qualifying for the 2026 Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts.
This weekend’s Women’s Series action will continue with Events 11-12 at Leicester’s Mattioli Arena on Sunday, with coverage getting underway from approximately 1000 BST on PDCTV.
