Adam Gawlas clinched his first Winmau Development Tour title of 2026 on Sunday afternoon, defeating the weekend’s form man Sebastian Bialecki 5-3 in the final of Event 15.

The year’s third weekend of Development Tour action concluded at Arena MK, as over 330 players competed for the £3,000 top prize.

Gawlas – who will be heading to Frankfurt next week to represent Czechia in the World Cup of Darts – began the day in dramatic fashion by winning a last-leg decider against Callum Lester.

The 24-year-old then dispatched Dillon Murphy, Justin Atellinghusen, Joshua Jones and Mylo Michiels as he advanced to the last 16 – conceding just three legs in the process.

‘Flawlas’ then ran into Ben Townley, where he was forced to win the last three legs of the contest to scrape past the Englishman.

The Czech star then went on to face Event 14 winner, Cam Crabtree. However, Gawlas went on to win the match in comfortable fashion to advance and set-up a semi-final clash against Jack Pollard.

It was the Englishman who began the contest as the better player, winning four of the first five legs to race into a healthy 4-1 lead.

Despite being at the point of no return, Gawlas showed great resilience against Pollard – winning the last four legs to complete yet another successful comeback.

In the final, Gawlas raced into a 2-0 lead, pinning an 11-darter in the second leg against the in-form Bialecki – who won three out of five of this weekend’s events.

From 3-0 down, Bialecki bounced back to level the match despite averaging significantly less than his opponent.

Yet, despite enjoying a successful weekend, the Pole seemed to have run out of steam as Gawlas ended strongly to win his second career Development Tour title – his first since 2023.

Bialecki still sits comfortably at the top of the Winmau Development Tour rankings following Event 15, with Gawlas also climbing up to 14th.

The top two players from the 2026 Development Tour rankings will each win a PDC Tour Card for 2027-28, while the top three players will earn a place in the 2026/27 Paddy Power World Darts Championship.

The 2026 Winmau Development Tour season continues next month, as Hildesheim plays host to Events 16-20 from July 31-August 2.
