Xiaochen Zong continued his impressive start to 2026 by claiming another brace of titles on the PDC China ProTour last weekend.
Zong – who will represent China for a sixth time at this week’s BetVictor World Cup of Darts in Frankfurt – won two of the year’s opening four events in April, before repeating the feat in Guangzhou.
The 28-year-old kicked off the weekend’s action with Event Five success on Saturday, conceding just seven legs on his way to glory.
Having relinquished just three legs in his opening four matches, Zong ran out a 5-2 winner against Xicheng Han in the semi-finals, before defeating his former World Cup partner Lihao Wen by the same scoreline in the Event Five decider.
Zong also claimed the Event Eight spoils on Sunday, dispatching Jizhou Li 5-1 to secure his fourth title of the season and cement top spot on the China ProTour rankings.
The five-time World Championship qualifier opened his challenge with a 101.90 average in a 4-0 whitewash of Ruiling Liu, which set the tone for another dominant campaign.
Elsewhere, Li secured his first victory of the 2026 season in Event Six on Saturday, accounting for Zong in the quarter-finals, before recording 5-1 demolitions of Wenqing Liu and Tianxiao Cao to triumph.
Wenqing Liu was the weekend’s other winner, as he edged past Cao in a gruelling nine-leg affair to celebrate Event Seven success.
Liu also claimed the scalp of Zong in the semi-finals, surviving multiple match darts to overturn a 4-3 deficit in a dramatic conclusion to proceedings.
