Brody Klinge scooped two titles on the Australian Darts Association Tour last weekend to move top of the rankings and edge closer to a World Championship spot.
Events 17-20 took place in the fifth and penultimate weekend of ADA Tour action in Kingswood from August 7-9, with Klinge closing in on a World Championship spot after claiming a brace of titles.
Klinge stormed to his seventh and eighth titles of the year after a resoundingly successful weekend on the circuit, picking up the Event 17 title courtesy of a 6-5 win over Joe Comito in the final.
The Melbourne-based arrowsmith produced two ton-plus averages to reach the quarter-finals, which included a weekend-high 105.07 average against Puna Ben in the last 16.
After dismissing Stuart Coburn 6-4 and whitewashing Bailey Marsh in the semi-finals, Klinge then pipped Comito in a last-leg decider, averaging an impressive 98.21 to kick off the weekend in style.
Klinge then bolstered his ADA Tour lead with a second title of the weekend at Event 20, sweeping aside Tim Pusey 2-0 in the set-play event showpiece to put himself comfortably in pole position on the ADA Tour rankings.
The ANZ Premier League star conceded just one set across a dominant outing – in his opening match against Carl Caton – before recording five consecutive 2-0 triumphs to bulldoze to the title.
This cavalcade of victories included the scalps of Coburn and Comito once again in the last eight and last four respectively, before downing Pusey in the final.
Despite falling short in the Event 20 final, Pusey picked up the Event 18 title on Saturday to claim his fourth title in six events and make secure his position of third on the rankings.
The 33-year-old opened his campaign with a whitewash win over David Boyle, before advancing to the semi-finals with a trio of hard-fought victories.
Pusey overcame Raymond Smith – who entered the weekend’s action in top spot on the rankings – via a last-leg decider in the semi-finals, before denying Comito in his second consecutive final to lift the title.
In Event 19, Michael Bajowski picked up a career-first ADA Tour title, dismissing Jeremy Fagg 6-4 in the showpiece.
Bajowksi accounted for Pusey 6-2 in the quarter-finals and survived multiple match darts to edge past Klinge 6-5 in the semi-finals, before winning three legs straight to seal a 6-4 win over Fagg in the final.
The win propels Bajowski to fifth on the ADA Tour rankings with four events left to play this year, as Klinge’s remarkable weekend places himself firmly in first.
Smith drops to second with almost $2,000 between himself and Klinge, as Pusey and Comito round out the top four.
The winner of the ADA Tour after the 24th and final event will earn a spot at Alexandra Palace at the 2026/27 Paddy Power World Darts Championship.
The 2026 Australian Darts Association Tour will conclude from September 11-13, as Events 21-24 take place in Elizabeth North as the World Championship race reaches its climax.
