New Zealand’s Jonny Tata maintained his perfect record in South Australia after beating Tim Pusey 5-2 to win Night Two of the 2026 Dabble Darts ANZ Premier League in Adelaide.

Tata, who beat Simon Whitlock to win at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre last year, had to overcome a tough field to secure victory again, beating Brody Klinge and Night One champion Raymond Smith in last-leg deciders before saving his best for last to beat Pusey with a 91.45 average.

In a rematch of last year’s final in Wellington – which Pusey won – the first five legs went against the throw before Tata held in the sixth leg to open up a two-leg cushion, and the New Zealander broke throw again to seal the win.

Both players went into the night having lost their quarter-finals in Canberra last week to Ben Robb and Mal Cuming respectively, and their results in Adelaide will serve them in good stead with just three rounds remaining before Finals Night.

Tata walks away with the A$1000 nightly prize and five points, having claimed his third nightly win following his brace of victories during last year’s campaign.

“Last week I got smoked 5-0 from my Kiwi mate Ben [Robb], so to get the win tonight, I was over the moon,” Tata said.

“I won here last year and I won here again tonight, so I’m really happy.

“Tim’s a great player, you know. He’s a great person, great player, and I really enjoyed playing against him.

“The crowd here are awesome. Cheers Adelaide, you guys are awesome tonight. Honestly I appreciate it.”

Tata was made to work hard to secure victory, with both his matches against Klinge and Smith going down to the wire.

The 34-year-old overcame a two-leg deficit twice against Klinge before taking out finishes of 110 and 142 en route to sealing victory.

Against Smith, Tata led 2-0 before losing three of the next four legs to find himself on the brink of a semi-final exit.

However, Tata held his nerve and survived three match darts before taking out 99 on double 12 to secure the win.

Pusey, meanwhile, beat Joe Comito 5-2 before getting revenge on Mal Cuming, who beat him in Canberra last weekend.

The other results saw Smith outclass Robb 5-3 in a repeat of the Night One final, while Cuming beat reigning champion Whitlock 5-2 in the other quarter-final.

The ANZ Premier League action continues next weekend at Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne, where Klinge and Comito will chase much-needed wins.

Klinge – the current ADA leader – faces Whitlock, while Comito, who hasn’t won since Night One last year, squares off against Smith.

The other quarter-finals see Tata facing Cuming, while Pusey is in action against Robb.

The 2026 ANZ Premier League is being televised live on Foxtel & Kayo Sports in Australia, through Sky in New Zealand and globally on PDCTV.
