Jack Johnson retained his JDC Junior VOLT Championship title with a whitewash win over Daniel Halliday in Sunday’s final.
The teenage duo went head-to-head at Leicester’s Mattioli Arena ahead of the World Grand Prix final, for the culmination of this year’s JDC tournament.
Johnson – a former JDC Super 16 champion – almost kicked off proceedings with a superb 154 checkout, missing tops before returning to pin the same target and secure an early lead.
The 14-year-old stormed into a 3-0 lead as he continued to dominate in the scoring department, before following up a 14-dart break by nailing double 12 to cap off a comprehensive victory.
“It feels so good,” reflected Johnson, who edged out Alfie Hutton in last year’s showpiece.
“I think the nerves got to Danny so you’ve got to feel for him, but I got the job done which is the main thing.
“The JDC system is so good, allowing you to play on different stages and tournaments, and I think it’s really setting me up for the future.
“I think the goal for anyone who plays darts is to make it to the very top, and that’s what I would love to do.”
The next JDC final on the big stage will be the 2026 JDC Super 16, which will take place during November’s Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton.
The JDC World Junior Championship final will then be held at Alexandra Palace during the 2026/27 World Darts Championship, before the new Winmau Junior World Masters concludes at Milton Keynes early in 2026.
