Simon Stevenson, Graham Usher, Callum Goffin and Ron Meulenkamp became the latest Amateur Qualifiers to secure qualification for next month’s Ladbrokes UK Open over the weekend.
Former UK Open quarter-finalist Stevenson confirmed his Minehead return after advancing through Saturday’s PDC in the Community Qualifier in Plymouth.
The two-time World Championship qualifier dispatched Finlay Cleave 7-1 to seal his place in the 160-player field, having averaged almost 99 in his semi-final victory over John Mann.
Former Tour Card Holder Usher prevailed in Saturday’s PDC in the Community Qualifier in Worksop, courtesy of a 4-1 success against Tom Sawford.
Usher will make his fifth UK Open appearance at Butlin’s Minehead Resort from March 6-8, after also overcoming Sam Edmonds, Alex Jacques and Jacob Gwynne at the Manton Sports Club.
Elsewhere, Goffin and Meulenkamp will make their big stage returns in next month’s showpiece, after progressing through Rileys Amateur Qualifiers in Chorlton and Liverpool respectively.
Goffin stormed through his opening four matches in the Chorlton Qualifier for the loss of two legs, before following up a deciding-leg victory over William Leonard with a 5-3 win against Kevin Lane.
Meulenkamp, meanwhile, will make his eighth UK Open appearance following an emphatic 5-1 victory against Josh Bury in their winner-takes-all showdown on Sunday.
This was preceded by a semi-final success against World Championship qualifier David Davies, while he also triumphed in a trio of deciding-leg contests en route to qualification.
Harlow and London Victoria will stage the final two Rileys Amateur Qualifiers this weekend, while the PDC in the Community Qualifiers conclude with events in Enderby and Alfreton.
Entries for the Rileys Amateur Qualifiers will cost £15 and are available through the Rileys website – with entry open to all players over the age of 16 who do not hold a PDC Tour Card.
Online entries will close at 1700 GMT on the day before a qualifying event takes place.
Please note that some venues cannot permit entries for under-18s. Please see the Rileys website for full details.
