Mitchell Lawrie landed a sensational nine-darter and claimed a hat-trick of titles to cap off an incredible opening weekend on the 2026 JDC Advanced Tour in Bristol.
The JDC’s new venue of Hangar61 in Bristol played host to Events 1-4 on February 28-March 1, as 64 of the game’s brightest young stars went head-to-head across an action-packed weekend.
Kaya Baysal kicked off the new Advanced Tour season in style, overturning a 5-2 deficit to deny Lewis Cook in a thrilling Event One final.
The JDC Winmau World Youth Masters Champion had conceded just six legs in his previous five matches, before a 120 checkout sparked the turnaround against Cook.
However, Lawrie then took centre stage with a run of 18 consecutive wins, which saw him establish a six-point lead at the top of the Advanced Tour rankings table.
The Scottish star edged past Belgium’s Aaron De Ridder to clinch the Event Two crown, having fired in back-to-back 14-darters from 5-4 adrift to deny Jayden Walker in the semi-finals.
Lawrie also accounted for Baysal in the last 16, averaging 97 to run out a 4-2 winner and avenge his defeat to the Burnley-born star in last month’s Winmau World Youth Masters.
The 15-year-old then kicked off Event Three in some style, producing perfection in his 4-1 victory against Ethan Hawden.
Lawrie landed the nine-darter to seal the deal with a 103 average, before averaging north of 101 in his 4-2 success against Jack Johnson in the last 16.
The JDC World Darts Champion then produced another quality display in the Event Three decider, averaging 99.63 in his 6-1 demolition of Archie Self, which featured 104 and 149 checkouts.
Lawrie capped off a dominant weekend by racing to the Event Four title, wrapping it up with a comprehensive 6-1 win at the expense of Mongolia’s Tergel Khurelkhuu.
The teenage superstar relinquished just seven legs throughout the event, edging past Self in a last-leg decider en route to a third consecutive title.
