Mitchell Lawrie extended his lead at the top of the 2026 JDC Advanced Tour rankings after securing a brace of titles across the Easter weekend.
Lawrie maintained his sparkling form during another action-packed weekend, as Events 9-12 took place in Bristol on April 4-5.
The Scottish sensation sealed his fifth title of the campaign with Event Ten success on Saturday, reeling off five straight legs to topple Alfie O’Flynn-Rogers 6-2 in the final.
Lawrie also overcame his compatriot Owen Bryceland in a high-quality semi-final, defying a 99.46 average from the 12-year-old to complete a 5-3 victory.
This was preceded by a quarter-final win over Belgium’s former JDC World Champion Lex Paeshuyse, while he also defeated Liam Cook, Jack Courtney and Harley Glycos on his way to glory.
Lawrie later stormed to his sixth JDC Advanced Tour title of 2026 with a sensational Event 12 triumph, demolishing Jayden Walker 6-1 with a 103.69 average in Sunday’s showpiece.
The 15-year-old also averaged 103.66 in his opening round whitewash of Luke Cox, which he backed up with successive four-leg drubbings of Reggie Woodmore and Jack Johnson.
Lawrie then overturned a 3-1 deficit to deny Lewis Cook in the quarter-finals, before accounting for Bryceland in another decider in the semi-finals, converting two ton-plus finishes in the process.
Elsewhere, Cook and Ben Townley claimed their first JDC titles of 2026, as Cook opened the weekend’s proceedings with victory in Event Nine on Saturday.
The Essex youngster – a JDC Super 16 winner in November – saw past Jack Nankervis in a last-leg shoot-out to take the title, having denied Mongolia’s Tergal Khurelkhuu in similar fashion in the semi-finals.
Cook also accounted for Walker and Archie Self earlier in the event, after beginning his title bid with whitewash wins over Ridley Ladigus and Oscar Saxton, where he averaged 98 and 100 respectively.
Townley, meanwhile, captured Sunday’s Event 11 crown following a dramatic 6-5 victory against Junior World Masters champion Kaya Baysal.
The 17-year-old came through another last-leg thriller against Walker in the semi-finals, after recording a quartet of 4-1 wins against Courtney, Alfie Moore, Johnson and Glycos earlier in the day.
Lawrie currently boasts a 12-point lead at the top of the 2026 JDC Advanced Tour rankings, with Walker climbing into second spot following a series of consistent showings in Bristol.
Baysal and Johnson are a further two points adrift of Walker, while Cook and Townley – courtesy of their exploits last weekend – have moved into fifth and sixth positions respectively.
