Gerwyn Price became just the second player after Michael van Gerwen to secure ten European Tour titles after scooping the Elten Safety Shoes European Darts Grand Prix on Sunday.

Price broke new ground and secured the milestone victory in Sindelfingen to take home a remarkable tenth European Tour, a feat that can only be bettered by Dutch icon Van Gerwen.

The Welshman’s first European Tour triumph came in 2018 at the International Darts Open in Riesa, as he has won nine more titles in less than eight years since.

The former World Champion went back-to-back in Riesa in 2019, and the following year won the Belgian Darts Championship.

Price continued to find success on the European Tour stage in 2021, picking up both the Gibraltar Darts Trophy and Hungarian Darts Trophy, before going back-to-back at the International Darts Open once again in 2022 and 2023.

Although 2024 marks the only year since 2018 the 41-year-old failed to win a European Tour title, he returned to form in 2025 with victory at the Baltic Sea Darts Open, before scooping an astounding tenth title in Sindelfingen over the weekend.

I’ve been in the PDC for 12 years now – so less than one a year on average isn’t very good!” joked Price, whose tally of ten titles can only be bettered by Van Gerwen’s staggering 38.

Thankfully I won this one, and hopefully it will give me a bit of confidence going forward.

I was just struggling to get over the winning line. I lost in the last European Tour final that I played in.

I never used to have this support, but I’m cherishing every moment I get on stage – it’s brilliant for me and may it continue!

Despite defeat to Wessel Nijman in the final of the European Darts Trophy in March, the three-time Grand Slam winner has a remarkable strike rate in the circuit, winning ten of the 13 finals and 13 of the 19 semi-finals he has played.

Moreover, since Price’s maiden European Tour triumph in September 2018, Van Gerwen has won just one more title than the Welshman with 11 trophies, followed by Luke Humphries on nine wins.

It is testament to Price’s longevity in the sport – being within the top 16 of the world for over eight years – that he continues to compete at the summit of darts and take home trophies across the continent.
