Mitchell Lawrie continued his domination of the JDC Advanced Tour with back-to-back wins on Sunday, as Jack Johnson and Owen Bryceland also prevailed on a bumper weekend in Bristol.
Scottish star Lawrie produced some scintillating displays to maintain top spot on the JDC Advanced Tour rankings, winning 12 consecutive matches across the weekend.
The 15-year-old registered a trio of ton-plus averages in securing the Event Fifteen crown, defeating Jack Nankervis 6-2 to clinch his seventh title of 2026.
Lawrie averaged 105.16 and reeled off five straight legs in dispatching Nankervis, having averaged 102.49 in a 5-1 victory over his fellow countryman Bryceland in the semi-finals.
The prodigiously talented Scot also averaged 107.36 in his opening round demolition of Alfie Knox, before seeing off Christian Ennis, Joseph Westby and Jack Johnson – overturning a 3-1 deficit against the latter.
Lawrie continued his winning run into Event Sixteen, easing past Charlie Greensmith and Jayden Walker before defying a 101.47 average from Bryceland to triumph in a high-quality affair.
Following a 4-2 win over Arthur Allston in the last eight, Lawrie then whitewashed Ennis in the semi-finals, before completing an emphatic 6-1 victory over Kaya Baysal in Sunday’s showpiece – a repeat of last year’s JDC Junior World Championship final.
Last weekend’s action also featured a maiden Advanced Tour title of 2026 for 14-year-old Johnson, a three-time runner-up on the circuit this year.
Johnson overcame Alfie Cook in a deciding-leg clash to kick off Event Thirteen, which he backed up with comprehensive wins at the expense of Liam Cook, Nankervis, Ennis and Greensmith.
This set up a winner-takes-all tie against Lewis Cook for the Event Thirteen crown, which saw Johnson run out a 6-3 victor – sealed with a superb 12-darter.
Bryceland then took centre stage in Event Fourteen, securing his maiden Advanced Tour title with a 6-4 success over Cook, who succumbed in back-to-back finals in Bristol.
The 12-year-old swept aside his compatriot Kyle Davidson in round one, before winning through deciding-leg tussles against Tergal Khurelkhuu and Greensmith in advancing to the quarter-finals.
There, Bryceland comfortably accounted for Johnson, which he backed up with a comeback victory over Ben Townley, rallying from 4-2 adrift on his way to glory.
Lawrie now boasts a remarkable 17-point cushion at the top of the 2026 JDC Advanced Tour rankings, with just one point separating Walker, Johnson and Baysal in second, third and fourth respectively.
Cook remains in fifth spot following his run to back-to-back finals, while Bryceland has leafrogged Townley into sixth, courtesy of his breakthrough win on Saturday.
