Darius Labanauskas and Daniel Larsson shared the spoils last weekend, with both players picking up titles as the 2026 PDC Nordic & Baltic ProTour season continued in Sweden.
The Apple Hotel in Gothenburg staged Events 7-8 across May 16-17, where World Cup representative Labanauskas added another yet trophy to his growing collection on Saturday.
The Lithuanian halted Larsson’s hopes of capturing his first title of the 2026 campaign, cruising to a 6-1 victory over the Swede in the final to seal his 15th Nordic & Baltic ProTour crown, just one behind Kim Viljanen, who holds the record of most Nordic and Baltic Pro Tour titles at 16.
Labanauskas fended off Lithuanian compatriot Arunas Sakalauskas in his opening game of Event Seven, before racing past Andreas Hyllgaardhus, beating the Dane 6-1 to advance to the quarter-finals.
The 49-year-old then met Anton Ostlund, where he had to pin back-to-back five visit legs to keep his hopes alive of a second ProTour title of the year.
The Lithuanian wasted no time in his semi-final contest, easing past Dane Andreas Nielsen 6-1, before beating Larsson by the same scoreline in Saturday’s showpiece.
Larsson didn’t have to wait long for his first Nordic and Baltic title of 2026, as the Swede beat Jani Haavisto 6-4 to clinch Event Eight glory.
The 44-year-old raced through his opening two games, beating Ostlund and Alexander Thorvaldsson 6-1 and 6-3 respectively.
Shortly after, Larsson met Danish pair Andreas Nielsen and Bent Lambertsen in the quarter-final and semi-final stage, and neither Dane could stop the Swede from reaching his second final in a matter of days.
Haavisto’s frustration continued after his Event Eight final defeat, as the Finnish star reached two European Tour qualification finals, but failed to secure his spot in either event.
The weekend’s action saw qualifiers for European Tour Events 10-12 take place in Sweden, with Finland’s Mio Varila dispatching compatriot Haavisto 6-3 to qualify for July’s European Darts Open.
Finland’s Jonas Masalin – who featured on the European Tour earlier this year in Gottingen – came through the ET11 Qualifier, beating former Latvian World Cup star Dmitriy Zhukov 6-2 and securing his spot at the Hungarian Darts Trophy in August.
Johan Engstrom the completed the European Tour Qualifiers in Gothenburg, as the Swede beat Haavisto 6-4 to secure qualification for the Czech Darts Open in Prague.
