Haupai Puha claimed a brace of titles on the 2026 Dartplayers New Zealand ProTour in Auckland, as Ben Robb confirmed his spot at the 2026 Paddy Power World Darts Championship by topping the rankings.
The final weekend of DPNZ ProTour action took place from September 5-6, with Puha scooping both Event 11 and 12 to finish third in the standings.
After conceding just one leg in winning his four group games, the former Tour Card Holder followed up back-to-back whitewash wins with a 4-1 triumph over Josh Walters, before downing Haunui Hira to reach the semi-finals.
Puha then recorded a 92 average in his 6-0 demolition of Josh Roberts to reach the showpiece, where he came back from 6-5 down to pip Jonny Tata in a last-leg shootout and claim his first title of 2026.
In Event 12 – the final DPNZ ProTour tournament of the year – Puha once again claimed the crowned, defeating Tata 7-6 once again in the final to seal consecutive titles.
Four group stage wins opened the 41-year-old’s account, before whitewashing Scott Wightman in his opening knockout fixture.
Puha recorded two more wins to face Robb in the semi-finals, where he defied a 95 average from the rankings leader to come back from 5-3 down and win a last-leg decider and reach a second final of the weekend.
Tata awaited in the final, and Puha once again produced a remarkable comeback, rallying from 6-3 down to triumph and claim a career-eighth DPNZ ProTour title.
Nevertheless, Robb secured his return to Alexandra Palace by finishing top of the rankings, winning five of the 12 titles on offer in 2026.
Tata’s runs to the final in Event 11 and 12 sealed his spot in second, earning the Kiwi an ANZ Premier League return, while Robb while also feature after finishing top.
