PDC Stats Analyst Christopher Kempf assesses the sport’s top ten stars – based on their last 200 legs played – ahead of the 2026 Dutch Darts Championship.
#1 Averages – Gerwyn Price
#1 OChE – Luke Littler
#1 Doubles – Ryan Joyce
#1 171-180 – Luke Littler
#1 99, 101+ Checkout – Jonny Clayton

With a European Tour title secured in Switzerland, Jonny Clayton reinforced his reputation as one of the most effective and efficient players in darts.
The Welshman has never been ranked first in any aspect of the form guide for winning legs or scoring, but wins legs thanks to his incredible doubling ability – as seen with an authoritative 8-4 victory over world number two Luke Humphries.
With a 43% accuracy on doubles, Clayton outranks both Humphries and Luke Littler and is within the top ten of PDC Tour Card Holders.
Moreover, the former World Grand Prix champion has no peer when it comes to high finishes: 21 of Clayton’s last 200 legs saw the champion in Basel win a leg with a finish of 99 or 101+.
A player with a 96 average should expect to win about 55% of his legs against Pro Tour players, but in spite of his 16th highest average of 96.09, Clayton’s OChE rating is above 57, the seventh-best in the PDC.
Having just celebrated his 52nd birthday, Clayton has proven that he will be relevant for years to come no matter what he averages.
As many as four players have a reasonable claim to be the form number one as of mid-October, but no single player is showing the sort of dominant form with which the darts world had expected Littler would complete his triumphant 2026 campaign.
The World Champion is doubtless one of those players, especially as no other player can match his output of trebles.
89 maximums in 200 legs may be below what fans came to expect from Littler after the World Matchplay, but it is still good enough to be the best 180 hitter in the PDC.
Littler is only 36th best in terms of doubles, though, and on this point James Wade is the superior player, making up for his lack of 180s with 45% accuracy over his last 200 legs.
Gerwyn Price surpasses Humphries in every statistical metric of the Form Guide (with the exception of a deficit of one in 180s scored), and the Iceman currently leads the PDC in three-dart average.
However, the most recent head-to-head matchup of these top two players at the World Grand Prix final concluded with an inspired comeback victory in Humphries’ favour.
Any of these players can make a clear case for themselves as the deserving top form player in the remaining TV tournaments of 2026.
Beau Greaves’ dominance of the Women’s Series indicates a proficiency which translates to a high ranking in the PDC as a whole.
The other qualifiers for the 2027 World Darts Championship will have to contend with a player whose last 200 legs have seen her average 96.35 and score 65 maximums.
The average PDC ProTour opponent wins only 44% of their legs against her, and even PDC luminaries like Gian van Veen and Stephen Bunting are currently playing well below the standard of her recent performances.
This is not to say that Greaves is currently on track to take down Humphries or Littler – but she is in good company in the Form Guide rankings with World Series Finals champion Ross Smith and Swiss Darts Trophy champion Clayton exhibiting similar stats.
Her rivals have as much to fear from her as they do from those other title winners.
*OChE (Ordinal Checkout Efficiency) explained:
OChE is a metric designed to evaluate the efficiency at which players convert their averages into legs won.
The statistic is the % of legs a player would expect to win on the ProTour, calculated from a weighted average of 4,5, 6 & 7 visit checkout rates.
