Charlie Manby and Raymond Smith have become the latest players to secure qualification for the upcoming Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton.

The newly-expanded 48-player tournament returns to the WV Active Aldersley from November 14-22, as the sport’s biggest names battle it out for the iconic Eric Bristow Trophy and a share of £1 million in prize money.

Manby will make his Grand Slam debut following his breakthrough win at Players Championship 31 last week, sealed with a comprehensive 8-2 victory over Maik Kuivenhoven.

The 21-year-old also overcame the likes of Karel Sedlacek, Alan Soutar and Beau Greaves on his way to claiming a maiden PDC ranking title, which confirmed his place in Wolverhampton.

Australian stalwart Smith will also make his Grand Slam bow in the coming weeks, courtesy of his ANZ Premier League triumph in Brisbane.

Smith – a runner-up 12 months ago – finished top of the league phase for a second straight year, before defeating Jonny Tata and Tim Pusey on Finals Night to take the title.

Reigning Grand Slam champion and world number one Luke Littler headlines this year’s confirmed field so far, alongside World Grand Prix champion Luke Humphries.

The finalists from PDC televised events over a 12-month period automatically qualify, with World Championship runner-up Gian van Veen, UK Open runner-up James Wade and World Matchplay finalist Gerwyn Price all set to star.

Three-time champion Michael van Gerwen, 2022 finalist Nathan Aspinall and German number one Martin Schindler have also earned their spots, with 36 of the 48-player field now confirmed.

Two-time European Tour winner Wessel Nijman has qualified following his brace of victories on the continent, while Josh Rock, Luke Woodhouse, Krzysztof Ratajski, Jonny Clayton and Niels Zonneveld are also assured of their places.

Chris Dobey, Cameron Menzies, Ryan Searle, Jermaine Wattimena, Rob Cross and Kevin Doets are amongst the leading qualifiers from the Players Championship circuit, ahead of this week’s final double-header in Leicester.

Additional qualification spots are given to secondary and affiliate tours, including last year’s World Youth Championship runner-up Beau Greaves, plus this year’s finalists Cam Crabtree and Jan Schmidt.

If any winners of the upcoming Players Championship events are pre-qualified, the number of places available in the Tour Card Holder Qualifier will be increased appropriately to fill the field to 48 players.
