Brody Klinge produced astonishing last leg magic in the decider to defeat NZ’s Ben Robb 6-5.

Klinge was in imperious form leading up to the title win with 6-1 defeats of both Robbie and Tim Pusey in the Quarter and Semi-Final, respectively.

Robb, in contrast, battled through games to reach the showpiece play-off, but with neither able to find the winning peg to take the match, the score was level at 5 apiece, leading to a grandstand finish.

Klinge, with the walk, went 7-darts into the nine to leave his Kiwi opponent trailing behind before adding the last double to clinch his first ADA title.

It was a match of brilliance throughout, with the first three legs producing finishes of 121, 134, and 123 in a high-quality affair, as fans eagerly heaped praise on the pair.

It takes two players going head-to-head to offer an outstanding game, such as this, which bodes well for both the upcoming tournaments on Saturday and Sunday at the Northern Districts Darts Association clubhouse.
