History was made at the Silver Sands tavern in Mandurah, WA when ‘the
Guru’ Raymond Smith hit the first televised 9-darter not only on the
ADA Circuit, but at the venue and via the DSL streaming platform.
It came against Brody Klinge, winner of T1 and T2 of the weekend, in
an emphatic whitewash victory 6-nil.
It came at the Semi-Final stage of the competition and the cheers from
inside were deafening as players gathered to watch the match.
Smith, the coolest man in the room, went on to claim the remaining two
legs and set-up a Final showdown with Anthony Shreeve who rolled back
the years and produced some scintillating arrows over the weekend.
With Smith finding his form, he dispatched Shreeve 6-2 to pick up his
first win of the weekend.
